Ingredients: 1 cup Rice, 1/4 cup urad dhal, 1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp. fenugreek seeds, 1 tbsp cooked rice, a pinch of Soda bi carbonate, 3 tbsp butter, water for grinding. How to prepare: Soak rice, urad dhal, fenugreek seeds for 3 hours. In a blender, grind soaked rice, urad dhal, fenugreek seeds, cooked rice and little water. Keep the batter outside for 10-12 hours or overnight for fermentation. Now add salt & soda bi carbonate to the batter. Grease a fry pan or griddle with butter over medium heat. Pour 1/2 cup of batter in the pan and and spread it into a thin round pastry. Pour 1 teaspoon of melted butter & allow it to cook for 2 minutes & turn it over. When both sides become golden brown, remove from pan and serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
